Jennifer Spohrer

Director of Educational Technology Services

Jennifer Spohrer is the director of Educational Technology Services and serves as project manager for several multi-institutional grant projects in this area. She is a graduate of the Plan II Liberal Arts program at the University of Texas at Austin, and began honing her tech skills as a manual and hint book writer in Austin’s computer game industry. She later earned a PhD in modern European history from Columbia University and taught for six years at the college level before moving into her current role. Teaching and learning have been key focuses throughout her career, and she sees her current work as a process of helping faculty use technology to achieve their pedagogical goals and overcome pedagogical challenges.
